The artist is only 2 weeks away from owning the title of longest running #1 hit in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. His new track, “Panini”, is currently #1 on my countdown, and right now, he can do no wrong.
This week, “Old Town Road” tumbles by 20% in overall Hot 100 metrics and “Bad Guy” increases by 1%. “Road” sports a still-commanding 1.5-to-1 points difference over “Bad Guy,” after leading by 1.9-to-1 last week. … Post Malone’s “Goodbyes,” featuring Young Thug, enters the Hot 100 at No. 3, becoming the former’s seventh top 10 (and fifth to debut in the region) and the latter’s second, following his featured turn on Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” which topped the Jan. 27, 2018, chart. “Goodbyes” begins at No. 2 on both Streaming Songs (40.8 million) and Digital Song Sales (41,000) and at No. 49 on Radio Songs (22.9 million).
As noted above, the chances of this happening appear to be good, as the ratio of aggregate chart points from streaming, radio play, and downloads still keeps the Lil’ Nas X track ahead of the #2 track by Billie Eilish by a healthy 1.5:1 margin.
